At the age of 9 years I wanted to be a greeting card designer. I knew that I loved art and crafts. In college I majored in Fine Art and later went into Art Education.
In the late 90's I was invited to a scrapbook event with a co-worker. We started scrapbooking after that on a regular basis. When I married and had children just even the thought of scrapbooking at home was put aside. In 2011 I signed up on meetup.com for a card making class that met once a month. I loved building new relationships with people who also enjoyed paper crafts but I still wanted to get back into scrapbooking.
2012 I decided I would not only create cards but I would start scrapbooking again. The best way to do this is to start my own group. Our first meeting was March 3, 2012. After years of getting together I was pulled in a lot of different directions. I continued to create layouts for scrapbooking, attend the monthly card making class and also create whatever paper crafting ideas a friend came up with that she wanted me to implement at her craft house: www.figamarole.com.
Currently (2022) I am holding monthly card making classes at Raley's in Turlock. You can find out more and sign up to attend through www.meetup.com/turlock-stampers.
I am so very excited to share my love for paper crafts with those who have been doing it for years and those who are just learning!
